CM Restorations is a Fort Worth, Texas restoration shop that specializes in complete Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Corvette restorations. We handle engine and drivetrain rebuilds, rust repair, paint, and interior work, with one team doing the entire build under one roof.

CM Restorations is a classic car restoration shop in Fort Worth, TX dedicated to two of America’s most loved cars: the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Corvette. We chose to specialize instead of taking on every car that rolls in. Narrowing our focus is what lets us restore these cars the right way.
Every project gets the same approach, whether it’s a numbers-matching 1965 Corvette headed for judging or a Fox Body that’s been sitting in a garage for twenty years. We start with a full assessment, set a clear plan, and then rebuild the car from the engine to the body. The same team handles it from first look to final road test.
Mustang & Corvette Specialists: Two platforms, known inside and out
Complete In-House Restorations: Engine, body, paint, and interior under one roof
Documented Every Step: Every part photographed, labeled, and tracked
Proudly Based in Fort Worth: Serving classic car owners across DFW and Texas
From early 1964½ coupes to Fox Body hatchbacks, we restore Mustangs to factory-correct condition or build them into modern-performance restomods. We restore Classic Mustangs (1964½ to 1973), Shelby and Boss models, Mustang II, Fox Body, and SN95 and New Edge models.
Corvettes need a different skill set. Their fiberglass bodies, birdcage rust and numbers-matching drivetrains call for a shop that knows the platform. We restore C1, C2, C3 and C4 Corvettes, from show-level originals to fully modernized builds.
A restoration is only as good as its weakest stage. We handle the full build under one roof so the engine, body, and interior all come together the way they should.
Numbers-matching engine rebuilds, small block and big block V8s, modern engine swaps, manual and automatic transmissions, rear ends, fuel systems, and cooling. We rebuild for originality, reliability, or added power, depending on your goals.
Rust repair, floor and trunk pan replacement, quarter panels, custom metal fabrication, media blasting, and panel alignment. Solid metal comes first, because paint is only as good as what is underneath it.
Bare-metal repaints, factory original color matching, custom paint and stripes, paint correction, and chrome and brightwork restoration. Every finish is built to stand up to the Texas sun.
Seat upholstery, carpet, headliners, door panels, dash and gauge restoration, convertible tops, and weatherstripping. We restore sun-cracked dashes and faded interiors to factory-fresh condition.
Suspension rebuilds, coilover handling packages, disc brake and power steering conversions, and undercarriage restoration. Your car will drive as well as it looks.
Complete wiring harness replacement, lighting and gauge repair, A/C and heat restoration, and modern comfort upgrades. New wiring removes one of the most common failure points in older cars.
TESTIMONIALS
STILL NOT SURE?
The cost depends on the car’s starting condition, how much rust and metal work it needs, and the restoration level you choose. A driver-quality refresh costs far less than a frame-off concours build. After an in-person assessment, CM Restorations provides a written estimate broken down by stage, so you know where your budget goes before any work begins.
A full frame-off restoration usually takes months, not weeks. The timeline depends on body condition, parts availability, and the scope of work. We give you a projected schedule at the start and send photo updates as each stage is completed.
Yes. Many restorations start as barn finds or stalled projects. We assess what can be saved, what needs replacing, and what it will take to get the car back on the road.
Yes. When originality matters, we rebuild the original engine block, transmission, and rear end instead of replacing them, and we source date-correct parts to protect the car’s value.
A restoration returns a car to its original factory specifications. A restomod keeps the classic look but adds modern parts, such as a newer engine, upgraded brakes and suspension, A/C, and updated electrical. We build both.
Yes. Corvette bodies are fiberglass, not steel, and they need different repair methods. We repair cracks, stress fractures, and damaged panels, and we also restore the steel birdcage underneath, where Corvettes most often rust.
Yes. We send photo updates as the work moves through each stage, so you can follow the build from teardown to delivery.
Tell us about your Mustang or Corvette. We will schedule an assessment and map out a plan for your build.
